by Sean Heffernan
I have called you all here today to lay to rest the latest installment of the lovable losers of Wrigley Field, the Chicago Cubs.

Do you plan on watching 12 hours of football every Saturday for four months? Does your girlfriend catch you sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night to check your favorite team’s website? Do you the names of all the high school kids your college is recruiting? And when your team loses to, oh I don’t know… Syracuse, Syracuse, 24-23 last November when you were favored by 19 at home, do you curl up in the fetal position and cry yourself to sleep?
